Eruption
Painted in New Zealand after a visit to the geothermal area around Mount Tarawera a volcano which exploded in 1886 devastating the area for miles around it flattening everything. The tree represents the stripping of all vegetation and was modelled on a small sea stripped root found on the beach in Napier.
